WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO EAT EVERY BITE CAREFULLY AND FAST PERIODICALLY?
Our eating habits are a key determinant of our health and well-being.
Two simple, en highly effective habit - thorough chewing and intermittent fasting - are at the heart of a macrobiotic lifestyle, helping us to get back into our body's natural balance.
But why are they so important, and what does it all have to do with cereals?

1. CUT every bite at least 30 times!
Chewing slowly and thoroughly not only aids digestion, but also gives us the opportunity to enjoy the taste of our food more and avoid overeating.
The enzymes in saliva start breaking down food in the mouth, making the stomach and intestines work much easier. Chewing each bite at least 30 times can reduce bloating, improve the absorption of nutrients and use less energy in the digestive process.
It's not for nothing that macrobiotics recommends as the basis of our diet (in 40-60%) full value, in grain format cerealsat 
- brown rice
- millet
- Barley
- buckwheat
Because of their natural texture, these foods need to be chewed for longer than refined products (pastries, pasta, white bread), so we can practise chewing more thoroughly.
Grain grains break down more slowly, provide a more stable source of energy and result in more balanced blood sugar levels, while giving a longer-lasting feeling of fullness.
During digestion, these ingredients provide the body with 'live' energy, while refined foods are often just empty calories.
2. TIME BREAK: at least 12 hours between dinner and breakfast

From intermittent fasting (intermittent fasting) is one of the easiest ways to after dinner, wait at least 12 hours until the next meal. This is not an extreme renunciation, but a natural pause that allows the body to regenerate and detoxify.
Just like us, our digestive system needs a rest.
When we don't eat, our body uses energy to renew cells and the reduce inflammation.
Such breaks are supported is theutophagy, the "cleansing" process of the body, which help to remove senescent cells and toxins. This can help boost energy levels, sleep better and strengthen the immune system.
